I'm a mother, a writer, a friend and a mate. I'm a searcher, a dreamer, a passionate truth-seeker. I believe guilt is a wasted emotion and life is too short for regrets. A true Cancer, the best way to know me is to walk with me on the beach beneath a full moon - you'll see all my emotions and my loony side, too. I've been a pharmaceutial sales rep, a newspaper reporter and a substitute teacher, but my favorite job is being a mother. My kids make me a better person and I learn from them all the time.

General
I love going to my son's baseball games and listening to my daughter play the flute. I'm a serious bookworm and history geek and can't fall asleep without a book in my hand. I'm into fashion, shopping, art deco, poetry, riding dressage, taking walks with my dog, watching classic movies, spending time with friends, traveling and soy lattes from Starbucks! I play the harp and I like to knit. Even though I dread making dinner, I cherish the times when my family is home to sit down and break bread. I love to get in my car and go for rides to no particular place - just wherever the road takes me.
Dreams
My biggest dream for my children is to be healthy, happy and graduate from college and have a job they'll want to wake up to each day.
My dream for myself is to live near the ocean and write a book.
Music
I listen to everything from Bach to Queen. Right now I've been playing a lot of P!nk's "I'm Not Dead" CD. Other favorite artists are U2, Tori Amos, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, The Clash, The RAMONES, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Green Day, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith and the Beatles. Like I said, it's pretty eclectic...
Movies
Who can forget Sean Penn's performance in Mystic River? Amazing! Other fav films are Beaches, Little Miss Sunshine, Million Dollar Baby, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Dead Poet's Society, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Edward Scissorhands, Guess Whose Coming to Dinner?, The Breakfast Club, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Barefoot In The Park, Something About Mary, Now Voyager!, Same Time Next Year.
People
My children are far and away my favorite people. I can't even imagine life without them. My husband, family and friends are a patchwork quilt that I wrap around my shoulders for comfort. Fake, superficial people annoy me. I like people who 'walk the walk and talk the talk.' I'd give the shirt of my back for a friend and I expect the same.
Places
The beach is my favorite place to be. I love the rocky coast of Maine and the wide sandy beaches of Southern California. Autumn in New England is pretty incredible, too - the trees become psychedlic. I LOVE the city! Especially Boston, New York and LA. There's always so much happening and the upbeat tempo energizes me! I love an evening game at Fenway Park; a good hike in the mountains; digging my toes in the sand; and sitting in front of a roaring fire on a cold winter's day.
