Geeze, how could I fail to mention KUNG FU HUSTLE???? I laughed my @ss off with that one! It's a must-see!!!!!!!!!!!! Also....Adrian Brody....why do I like this man???? Just saw The Jacket - creepy! The Big White, ala Fargo but with heart.
 People
People are like books. Some are thin, some are thick, a few old and musty, while others are brand new with shiny, slick covers. All have a message and something you can learn from them. I cherish the books I have, the books I've lost and those I still have yet to discover.
Someone I miss dearly is my ex-mother-in-law, Garnett. At 80 plus she still kicked @ss. She was a physchiatric nurse then retired and went into the Peace Corp for two years, followed by a couple years as a recruiter, etc. Garnett was always learning, never critical, and would always listen if I needed a compassionate ear. She passed away five years ago and I still think about her.
We always joked that I wanted her fabulous apple cheescake recipie she used to make me for my birthdays. She said I'd never get it until she died, so it was a truly sad day when her daughter sent it to me in the mail. I still have it clipped inside my cookbook she gave me a long time ago. And today, I received in the mail, a painting I had done for her in September of 1985. Her daughter, Cathi, had kept it for a long time and thought my kids would like to see some art I had done a long time ago. Thank you, Cathi!!!!!!!!
 Places
I'd like to go anywhere I haven't been. But definitely with a GPS system and ONSTAR in case I get lost and can't find my way back to civilization.
Vail/I was young, it was fun, Santa Fe/ very cool, Monterey/awesome, San Francisco/had to replace the brakes, Milwaukee/got to visit my grandmother, Chicago/two years of Cubbies, music and beer, Texas/ too big (go visit Caddo Lake), and several places inbetween.
I long for sitting in an outdoor cafe in Paris, sketching/dreaming/drinking coffee until noon and wine until midnight. Egypt would be very interesting yet HOT. I love the pyramids - me and Cheryl are going if either of us wins the lottery.
