I'd like to tell you a little bit about my tattoo..........
Not the story of WHY I did it,
but what it took to GET IT DONE and what it is.
I WAS 100% SOBER! and FYI- IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO GET INK AND BE FOR REAL!
It took 55 hours of pure commitment and dedication. Nothing was traced. It was all done free hand. It is a dragon, my very real imaginary dragon. It is 72 inches long and wraps around my leg 3 times. The tail splits into 5 parts and has several pairs of wings attached to the tail so that it can lift the weight of its body and fly high into the sky! It is coming out of the water and is travelling through space and out into the galaxies. Each scale on the dragons body and tail was done individually. The detail is insane.You will see the constellation of the Eagle and it's main star "Altair' on my thigh. Alistair Crowleys 7-point star, a power sign for women. A lotus flower. A monkey. A vortex with a person getting sucked in! An alien looks into a crystal ball near the spacecraft. The eye of Ra is on my hip. My astrological sign, My daughter's sign. My artist's initials.
So who am I...? I'm a single mom, going back to college to get my degree since my daughter is in college now, too! I came across brickfish by accident while searching for scholarships for myself. I entered the contest, and taa daa...here I am~!
As for the WHY I got the tattoo, well that's a long story and it has a tragic ending. It is, however, very spiritual and sentimental. And, it has a never-ending ending.

Nature: Gardening is a most pleasant way to NJoy the early mornings. One can find some quiet inner peace and meditation time. Being ONE with nature is a good thing.
I make jewelry~fantastic hand crafted beaded jewelry. Beads, stones, silver, brass, copper, crystal, glass, clay, shell, wood, seeds; an inventory I've collected from around the world for over 20 years.
Sometimes I even turn the raw slab material into polished stones and cabachons, and wire wrap beautiful pieces.That's a new hobby to add to the list. Tuffileta Fossil is a very interesting rock to work with; it is encrusted with age old, time dated, once living encapsulated organisms, that lay dormant, waiting for someone like myself, to unleash their captivity, to be shaped and polished then brought back to life.
Some fellow associate artists and I also do craft shows-geez (what else!)
One can surely say, I always have a ton of projects going on all the time and usually all at once. Just come over to my house, you'll see what I mean. There's a TON of arts and crafts and things to do and creativity to be had. There's something for everyone!
Being back in school is great! I love to just sit there and listen to someone tell me about something I don't know anything about. I love to learn. So, bring it on!

I stargaze whenever I'm outside at night. I do my best to stay tan all year. I can't do enough yoga and I work out to stay in shape. I love my dogs and still take them skating, or biking or for a walk every day.

SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE
My dad is a musician. He plays the sax and flute and he also sings. He's working on a lot of producing stuff now. But back in the day', when he played with the Family Stone, Sly would come over to our house and sit on the piano bench and just start playing music, making up songs and lyrics, singing and "funkin." One time I'll never forget, he came over, I was practicing some classical, he sat down next to me and just started singing and jammin and playing an entirely different tune. That's how it was growing up in a musicians' family.
WAR
Another great band and another great time in my life. My dad played with them too. Those were my Hollywood days. Spent a lot of time with the fantastic Lee Oskar! WOW!
Heck, I met Frank Sinatra when I was just 11 yrs old
What great experiences I've had!
MY ENTIRE LIFE WAS SURROUNED BY MUSIC
My quiet time, I like to listen to such music as The Orb and Buddha Bar. Ambient/Chill keeps me going, especially late at night when I'm working on things!
But I'd have to admit, my most favorite music is classical. I'm a huge fan of Mozart.
