Hi, my name is Kaitlyn, and I'm here to win money for college. I try to respond to as many votes as possible, so leave a link and I'll likely get back to you. I ALWAYS leave reviews with votes.
In my spare time, I read and write fiction and nonfiction. One of my stories is already being published on fanfiction.net! It's at this link:
www.fanfiction.net/~annelessing
READ IT.
I'm also teaching myself how to draw manga comics (in the hope that someday I can convert my fanfic to comic form), so if you have any tips for me, I'd really love to hear them! I love getting advice and constructive criticism because it helps me improve my work.
Religion? It's tough...I don't really know what I am yet, although I DESPERATELY want to belong somewhere (even though I'm an atheist...I know, tough, right? Although, on days I'm feeling particulary generous, I'll say I'm an agnostic). Unitarian Universalism looks incredibly promising, so I think I'll try them out and see what happens.
MARRIAGE IS A HUMAN RIGHT, NOT A HETEROSEXUAL PRIVILEGE!
I consider myself to be a die-hard feminist, but not (by any means) a Femi-nazi. I'm not burning my bras anytime soon...I mean, I appreciate the symbolism, but we all need a little support, right?
Ok, Desert Island. Three things I'd want with me if I were stranded...a radio for music and news, waterproof pen and paper (no, I'm not cheating; that counts as one item if you group them together), and my pug, Milo.

Things I dislike? Spring, summer, sappy love songs, stuck-up people, misogynists, crushed ice, sunlight, wooden stakes, garlic, rosaries, and the phrase 'man of the house.' (Cut me a break. I'm not the kind of girl that needs a man in her life to validate her existence. He's there? Fine. He's not? Fine, too. Yes, even Johnny Depp.)
Things I like? Winter, Fall (Out Boy and the season), classical music, Johnny Depp, dinosaurs, peanut m&ms, rainy days, Uni Jetstream® pens, notebooks, the color red, The Office, nighttime, coffins, Gothic castles, satire, the Joker (!!!), Harley Quinn, Southern cooking, astericks (is that how you spell it??), and Good Eats with Alton Brown. (only the best show on the planet)
 Dreams
Here is a basic timeline of what I'd like to accomplish with my life.
-In five years, I will be in college, hopefully at Cedar Crest, Montana State, or Ohio University. (not Ohio State)
-In ten years, I'll probably still be in college.
-In fifteen years, I hope to be starting my career at the American Museum of Natural History as an assistant curator/lab technician.
-In twenty years, I'll be Head Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the AMNH, working in countries like China, Mongolia, and Argentina. I hopefully will have been able to name a dinosaur or two by now. (some possible names: Michaelmooresaurus or Stephencolbertsaurus)
-In thirty, forty, and fifty years, the same.
-In sixty years, I'll win 200 million dollars from the lottery, retire to Venice, Italy, and donate the remainder of my fortune to charity.
-In one hundred years, I will kick the bucket and have my body cryogenically frozen.
-In three hundred years, I will be reanimated by the hyper-intelligent, fully sentient race of robots that wrested control of Earth away from their human masters around the year 2150.
 Music
FALL OUT BOY
Maroon 5
CLASSICAL
LED ZEPPELIN
But ESPECIALLY Fall Out Boy. I love their tongue-in-cheek verses (I thought I loved you/but it was just how you looked in the light) and lighthearted attitude. My favorite one is the lead singer, Patrick Stump (on the far left in the background photo)...I would kill for a singing voice like his, and let's face it, girls...he's not to hard too look at!
- Fall Out Boy Lyrics
 Movies
My favorites are Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Simpsons Movie, and any documentary by Michael Moore. BATMAN IS AWESOME. Well, not so much Batman as the Joker...he's my favorite character [big surprise, I know]. (Below is a spoof of the batman trailer)
I'M REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY HOPING THAT THEY DECIDE TO MAKE A BATMAN MOVIE WITH THE JOKER AND HARLEY QUINN...IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT THE SCREENWRITERS WOULD DO WITH IT, AND HARLEY'S MY 2ND FAVORITE CHARACTER. SHE'S NOT AS DITZY AS SHE LOOKS!

 People
The people I look up to most are:
Malcolm X
He had the courage to stand up and take aggressive, immediate action, defending his beliefs even when he knew his life was threatened.
Michael Moore
Gets his point across with hilarity and straighforwardness. We agree on almost everything.
Barack Obama
Is intelligent, down-to-earth, full of common sense, and CARES about the American people.
My Mom
My best friend, she's ALWAYS there for me.
Ferris Bueller
I don't think this needs any explanation. He knows how to enjoy life and is pretty darn bright on top of that!
Believe it or not, one of my best friends is imaginary.
His name is Emmanuel. He is originally from Italy but came to the United States at the age of 10. (he's 14 now) He likes dogs, classical music, photography, Led Zeppelin, and and TEASING ME, which he does excessively.
 Places
I live in Pennsylvania. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty nice place...but I REALLY want to travel. Wanderlust has always been an affliction of my family's.
After reading about it in War and Peace, I really would like to visit Russia. Namely, Moscow.
Edinburgh (the capital of Scotland) is built on an extinct volcano. Castles overlook the stately, history-packed city.
Venice, Italy!!! For the gondolas and excellent Italian food.
Mongolia, because of the important fossil finds and because my ancestors hail from there.
Panama to see the Panama canal.
France for the culture and Johnny Depp.
Brazil for the exoticness and rainforests, not to mention the Amazon river.
