Well I've never fit into a mold or formula. But when I was younger I tried to conform to imaginary models, all self-imposed. Now I don't. Many things cause the transformation but when final little blow was the documentary on Bob Dylan by Martin Scorsese. Brilliant subject. Brilliant video.
So here I am. Living as fully and truthfully as I know how.
I'm a creative person through and through however I often perform in counter-intuitive ways to meet my goals. Like as a CEO in one of my companies.
I finance my life through publishing, media and internet technology.
I've uncovered a dormant, frenetic love of cars. So I have one I like a lot. More importantly I love to share it even on a level where strangers just come up and start chatting with me.
I was initially trained in basic photographic skills by a man named Ahmet Certan. He was like a surrogate dad while I was going to High School in Izmir, Turkey. To this day photography is still a significant avocation. I have, in all humility, a very good portfolio of my fine art work.
I wanted to play guitar since I was a boy, well a younger boy, I'm still a boy at heart. So in February of 2006 I bought my first guitar. Now I have 8 of them and my playing.... well let's just say my practice does not draw termites out of the woodwork. But I am determined to play.
I love the humanities and theology and everything about being human and being alive. I'm as curious today as I was in the 1st grade. I feel blessed and feel a strong sense of grace.
Finally I think my friends know me in a dualistic sense. I tend to have strong opinions but lot's of room for everyone else's point-of-view.
And philosophically I seek harmony not unity.
