~I'm Shannon. I live just outside the wonderful city of Washington, D.C.~
~First and foremost, I'm a musician. I play upright and electric basses in all styles, but my love is large and small ensemble jazz. I major in jazz studies and minor in both music theory and Spanish in college. Being a woman in the music industry (especially as a bassist) isn't always easy, but I know what I'm doing is helping women and other minorities to be seen as true equals to the average white male.~
~I'm a maniacal animal lover. I own three cats, a horse and some turtles. I would rather crash my car than kill an innocent squirrel.~
~I'm very open to learning about religions, politics and cultures. I believe that knowing more about these things will not only help me to be more tolerant of others, but give me greater insight when it comes to musical trends.~
~I love tattoos and piercings. Body modification is so interesting!~
~I love fashion and makeup. If I wasn't a musician, I would probably be a makeup artist. Colors and styles make life so much more interesting!~
~I can be seen as eccentric. I'm outgoing and friendly. I speak my mind but I also take pride in my listening skills.~
