My modeling career kicked off during the summer of 2006, right after high school graduation. It all started during my last semester of my senior year. I was bored in class after finishing my school work and decided to surf the World Wide Web(lol).I went to Ebony Fashion Fair.com where I filled out the application and sent in two Polaroids out of curiosity, just to see if I would get a call back.
In July 2006, I received a call from the Ebony Fashion Fair main office asking if I would like to be flown to Chicago to the Semi-Finals. Even though I wasn't selected, that still didn't stop me. In August 2006, I graced the runway and danced in Maryland Fashion Week 2006. That performance opened up more doors for my modeling career.
Photographers contacted me for test shoots, and soon on, I did my very 1st photo shoot September 2nd, 2006; set up by Baltimore's Ultimate Party Promoter, Syn City, CEO of the Tip Star Company. In February 2007 I did editorial shooting for Audorah Couture, a local clothing company in the D.M.V.
In March 2007, I was contacted by Ford Models and Blackplanet.com to be interviewed about my promising modeling career. That interviewed gained me exposure on a national level. Then I was asked to headline the South Carolina Fashion Exhibition April 2007 in Columbia, SC.
As time progressed on, I expanded my network, talking with key folks in the industry. In September 2007, I was contacted by a New York City based agency EM Models and Talent to launch Luster's Hair new product line, Luster's ReNutrients. I've also worked with a celebrity hair stylist on a magazine project that is featured on page 72 of Sophisticates Black Hair Magazine(November Issue with Jennifer Hudson on the cover). And to date I JUST wrapped up the Adidas Respect M.E Ad Campaigns. I also did a commercial celebrating "60 Years of Originality" for Adidas with Missy Elliot. That commercial airs November 25th on every major TV network...I'm excited!
