Interests
General

I live for sushi, cooking, reading, video games and my puppy dogs, Percy and Charlie.  Basically, I'm just a huge dork and I love it.  I love meeting new people and getting to know weird and interesting things about them.  I also love traveling.  In April, I visited Europe for the 3rd time and it was awesome, pictures are to come!  If you need some advice on traveling or just want to talk to someone else who's into it, I'm your gal.  I am very into writing and I'm working on a whole novel and two travel guides.

Dreams

As far as life goals go, I really wanna move out of the country for a while, I wanna travel a lot.  I think at some point I'd like to adopt a child and bring them traveling with me.
I'd like to start a charity to rescue dogs before they are euthanized.  I'd really like to be a fantastic smashtic writer with billions of readers, but since no one reads these days, I won't hold my breath.
The future's too hard to guess at.  I never thought I'd be where I am now.  I really prefer fun dreams over life long goals.  I wanna have a big wedding reception and wear a big red dress, but I don't think I really want to get married.  I've always wanted to sky dive at some point and I HAVE to go to Brazil.

Music

According to www.pandora.com (which you should check out if you haven't already) I like melodic vocals and mixed electric and accoustic instrumentation.  My personal belief is that a few "yeah"s and some hand clapping can only help any song tenfold.  As far as actual bands/genres, I'm all over the place. I love:

Rock N' Roll: AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Elvis, Chuck Berry, The Runaways, CCR  Crazy fusion bands: Throw Rag, Gogol Bordello, Finntroll, La Plebe, The Teenage Harlots, The Yard Dog's Road Show Punk: Iggy Pop, The Damned, The Ramones, The Misfits, Richard Hell, The New York Dolls
Metal: Raven, Slayer, Judas Priest, Guns And Roses, Motley Crue, Girlschool, Van Halen
80's: Oingo Boingo, Devo, Blondie, The Talking Heads, David Bowie
Ska: The Specials, Selector, The New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Desmond Dekker, Prince Buster, Madness
Country: Johnney Cash, Hank Williams the 1st, Patsy Cline
Alternative/Indie: The Pink Spiders, Beck, The Killers, The Libertines, Jayne's Addiction
Oldies: Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Link Wray
Rap: Lil' John, Grand Master Flash, Run DMC, DMX
Goth/Industrial: Bauhaus, Skinny Puppy  Techno: Republica, Moby, New Order

Movies

Zombie movies, horror movies and anything by Kevin Smith rock my socks.  Johnny Depp is the coolest actor ever and not only because he's the most attractive man on the planet, but he also chooses amazing roles and is a cool person all over.  Who Framed Roger Rabbit is also a cultural and technological achievement that will never be topped.  Epics are just that, epic.  Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (yes it's epic, and yes, I can't wait for the next book AND movie this summer) and Star Wars.  More importantly though, why is there no talk of books on here?  I NEED to point out that The Zombie Survival Guide, Still Life With Woodpecker, LOTR, Harry Potter, Trainspotting and anything at all by Kurt Vonegut (RIP) are all absolutely mind bogglingly wonderful and better than any stupid movies out there.  Oh and BTW, TV sucks with the minor exceptions of Metalocalypse...actually most things that were on Sunday night Adult Swim last fall, The Simpsons and The Daily Show.

People

I love John Stewart and Wolverine -and I mean the character, NOT Hugh Jackman.  Wolverine is the hottest man alive (or at least make believe alive) and I had the most amazing dream one night where I had his baby and in turn got some sweet mutant powers.  Jealous?  You should be.
Outside of imaginary characters and the most brilliantly satirical mind alive in this post Vonnegut world, I really don't get much into celebrities.
As far as real people go, I'm not a huge fan of murderers, nazis, politicians, etc. but pretty much anyone else is alright.

Places
I really love The Last Cathedral (a bar) in Berlin, the peir in Upsala, the citidel turned park in Nice and anything by Gaudi in Barcelona.
As far as the ol' US of A, I love San Diego.  Big Sur is the most beautiful place ever and the rest of the Coast Highway is up there too.  San Francisco, particularly 826 Valencia (the pirate store) and Swan's Oyster Depot, and NYC are cool to visit, but...
To bring it really local, Bronx Pizza, Dick Jane and Spike's, Lou's Records,  the little hidden cove in OB and the cheap rental cabins near Jullian are some of the best places in San Diego. But to learn more, you'll have to wait for me to finish The Cheapskate's Guide to San Diego.
